HR 5055: Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017

Provides FY2017 appropriations for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers civil works projects, the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation, the Department of Energy (DOE), and independent agencies such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The bill would provide $50 million in new funding for the Department of Energy Office of Science, but cut $14 million from the Biological and Environmental Research Program.

H.R. 5055 was passed by the House Appropriations Committee on April 26, 2016, but was rejected during floor debate 112-305 on May 26, 2016.
